  • April 21, 2022 Capitol Tour & Dinner Event!

April 21: Capitol Tour, Meet Your Representative, Network & Dinner Meeting to Follow

    Tour: $10

    Dinner Meeting: $50

Enjoy Both! Tour & Dinner Meeting: $55

    Tour The Capitol: 4:00 – 5:00 PM:

Here is your chance to see Behind the Scenes at the State Capitol! Enjoy a Guided VIP tour of the Capitol, along with an opportunity to talk shop with your state representatives.

Standing tall against Sacramento’s city skyline, the impressive white granite dome of the California State Capitol is beautiful from the outside – but even more interesting once you take a peek inside!

Following the 4/21/22 CSA Board Meeting, directors will be visiting senators and/or assembly members, acquainting our state legislators with who and what the California Sign Association represents. CSA Tour Participants will join board members (meeting in the Rotunda, sharply by 4pm), as we explore the Capitol, becoming more informed citizens with an appreciation for the democratic process and the life cycle of a bill, from being an idea to becoming a law, and being guided by the Secretary of State.

The Legislature began life in 1849 with only 16 Senators and 36 Assembly Members. Half of each house came from the mining districts of Sacramento and San Joaquin! Today, however, most representatives come from the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, and San Diego, where our state’s population is concentrated.
