• Forward Through 2019!

A New CSA Year is here!

The 2018-19 CSA fiscal year began OCT 1, with a busy calendar in the planning. CSA’s Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Staff, have all expressed their continued commitment to education and training, as well as the programs and benefits available to CSA members and the on-premise sign industry. Neal Tibbs, CSA President (2018-19) and Vice President, Ad Art Sign Company, is looking forward to reaching out to as many CSA member companies as he can over the next year, with CSA’s #1 Goal For This Year Being “training our workforce”.

Off to a good start, Neal made his way down to southern California September 28th, with an opportunity to visit with the CSA Crane Operator Certification candidates attending training/testing at CSA member host company AD/S in Corona. Neal was picked up at the Ontario airport that morning by Roy Flahive, CSA Executive Director and Cheryl Flahive, Director of Member Services. They were able to stop by Encore Image and Swain Sign, before their lunch with the crane operator certification candidates. That afternoon, they met up with Ray Smith, Chairman of the CSA STEPS Admittance & Advancement (A/A Board), with meetings following at Sign Industries in Ontario and Williams Sign Co. in Pomona.

The following week, morning of Oct 4, President Tibbs and Roy met in Modesto, with meetings at United Sign System and Sign Designs, then headed to Sacramento for a visit with the CSA Crane Operator Certification candidates attending training/testing at CSA member host company Pacific Neon and Ryan Drury, member of the CSA Board of Directors. After lunch they continued north to Thunder Valley Casino & Resort, conducting a site visit for the 2019 CSA Annual Convention & Educational Conference.

Friday morning, Oct 5th, Neal was at Fresno Neon Company in Fresno, CA, to be a part of NAM (National Association of Manufacturers) / ISA Sign Manufacturing Day. Roy made a site visit with CSA member company JSJ Electrical Display located in Fairfield, CA. His final visit on this Northern California journey was with CSA Director Emeritus Skip Moore, Albany, Ca.

Great Start President Tibbs – We are looking forward to working with you throughout the next year!
